Building a Pre-Session Ritual That Survives Busy Weeks

A fifteen-minute sequence that keeps multi-timeframe notes current when the calendar is full.

Professional preparing for a focused work session

A ritual that takes forty minutes will die on busy weeks. Design for fifteen. Open the weekly chart first and confirm the lean in one sentence. Move to daily for context and invalidation. Finish on the execution timeframe with a single preferred zone and a hard stop idea.

Write those three lines in the same template every day. Consistency beats cleverness. If you miss a morning, do not catch up by skipping the weekly — shorten the daily notes instead.

After the session, spend five minutes logging whether the ritual was followed. Over a month the log tells you more about edge decay than any single trade outcome.
